Strong operations professional with a Higher National Diploma Civil focused in Civil Engineering from Durban University of Technology as well as Marketing and Market Research qualification from UNISA.

Basil has served as a director of the Global Road Safety Partnership South Africa as well as the South African Bitumen Association, and the Road Safety Partnership South Africa.
