It is becoming increasingly common to demand the implementation of linear infrastructure projects using BIM standards due to client demands, project requirements, or the internal adoption of the company executing the project.

BIM methodology brings countless benefits in the design and implementation of projects, such as cost reduction associated with the elimination of errors in construction phases, more accurate designs using coordination and clash detection, and optimization in the process of generating deliverables however, it also produces new problems associated with certain factors such as the lack of maturity of one or more of the stakeholders involved in the process, software limitations or a poor choice of workflows or applications used.

Join us for a webinar series focused on contextualizing the most common problems that occur when carrying out infrastructure projects under BIM methodology. The series will show optimized and contrasted workflows through real-world examples in which Bentley System's software ecosystem helped obtain the best possible outcome.

The first session will provide a general overview of the current state of the art of BIM methodology for civil engineering projects.

In this webinar, our BIM experts will discuss:

  • BIM in civil infrastructure vs. architectural BIM
  • Industry, software, and stakeholders’ maturity
  • Interoperability between disciplines
  • BIM requirements for civil engineering projects
