Heritage Stoneworks is a division of the Department of Planning, Industry, and Environment, NSW. They are responsible for the conservation and restoration of NSW’s heritage sandstone buildings and structures and are actively seeking ways to modernize their approach to building inspection and restoration.
In this webinar, Brenton Ray will present a project undertaken by Spatial Services with NSW Heritage Stoneworks modeling of the State’s heritage sandstone buildings for the purpose of managing these significant assets and streamlining inspections and repair work, through the use of 3D reality meshes produced by ContextCapture. The presentation will focus on the Fort Denison model (a heritage fort on a Sydney Harbour island).

Brenton Ray is the Supervisor of the Imagery Program. This program captures and produces aerial photography for NSW, incorporating traditional 4 Band imagery products from airborne sensors as well as 3D reality mesh products from RPAS platforms and terrestrial laser scanning. Spatial services was an early adopter of Context Capture, and the software has proven vital in the production of 3D reality mesh products.
