Urban flooding poses risks to residents, property, and infrastructure. It also disrupts urban services. Using hydraulic simulations, engineers can better predict and understand vulnerabilities that lead to more resilient drainage systems.
While OpenFlows SewerGEMS has long offered fully dynamic 1D analysis capabilities to help engineers design and assess hydraulic systems, the CONNECT Edition Update 4 now provides new tools for connecting 1D network elements (sewers, inlets, detention facilities, etc.) with 2D surface (overland) flows.
Using an integrated 1D/2D analysis provides a more detailed picture of flooding extents and impacts, helping engineers as they contend with increased flood frequency and severity, aging infrastructure, and other design challenges.
Additionally, an OpenFlows SewerGEMS 2D analysis includes surface depth and velocity, flood hazard, and inundation times. And, visualization tools enable a better understanding and communication of flood impacts.
Please join us for a free webinar to explore the new OpenFlows SewerGEMS 2D hydraulic modeling features and tools.
