A deep tunnel sewerage system needs construction of the tunnel and can be challenging in many ways such as stability during construction, disturbance to already existing subsurface structures, unfavorable geotechnical conditions, and underwater cases, etc. Therefore, modeling of tunnel and tunneling process requires special attention. Tunnel boring process using TBM consist of many stages which needs to be modeled and analyzed properly. The second part of the webinar will showcase the application of PLAXIS.

Before joining Bentley systems, he was an avid scholar and was pursuing his doctoral degree from the esteemed Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay specializing in the field of Geotechnical Engineering.

Karthik works for Bentley Systems (India) as a Senior Consultant – Water Infrastructure with15+ years experience in Hydraulics & Hydrology and GIS.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in GIS. He started his professional career  in 2003 with  Haestad Methods Inc.
