AMRUT 2.0, an India Government initiative, aims to provide 100% coverage of water supply to all households in around 4,700 urban local bodies including approximately 2.68 crore tap connections.
Additionally, the plan covers 100% coverage of sewerage and septage in 500 AMRUT cities to around 2.64 crore sewer or septage connections. More than 10.5 crore people in urban areas will benefit. One main objective of the AMRUT 2.0, is to provide a 24x7 water supply with a drink-from the-tap facility in 500 AMRUT Cities.

At Bentley Systems, Ajinkya is a product consultant focused on the adaptation of technological solutions for project design and cost-effective project development. He assists utilities, municipal councils and consultants in addressing water projects and challenges, and in the building of economically sustainable water and wastewater projects.

Karthik works for Bentley Systems India as a senior consultant for water infrastructure and brings over 15 years of experience in hydraulics, hydrology and GIS to the table. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in GIS.
Karthik is responsible for product training, industry presentations and engineering sales support for a variety of Bentley software solutions including OpenFlows, OpenCities Map, and Reality Modeling. Karthik started his professional career in 2003 with Haestad Methods Inc.
